Tyrant Wrestling inherited the MDWAY / Maryland Junior State Championship in 2020. Last year, it was decided the tournament would be the third Sunday of February annually partnering with the Maryland Independent High School State Championships. This would give an opportunity for the youth wrestlers to attend the high school state championship and compete in the same arena.

All our tournaments are consistent dates every year. This year, multiple league championships changed their dates causing a direct conflict. Our goal and intent is to provide additional opportunities not to compete with other local organizations. Therefore, Tyrant will no longer host the MD Junior State Championships.
